FSSF/Ranger Platoon "Devils Brigade"

The 1st Special Service Force, The Devil's Brigade, was a joint World War II American-Canadian commando unit organized in 1942. The brigade fought in the Aleutian Islands, Italy, and southern France. Many modern American and Canadian Special Forces units trace their heritage to this unit.

The Germans dubbed them the "Devil's Brigade", because they used a trademark sticker depicting the FSSF unit patch together with a slogan written in German: "Das dicke Ende kommt noch", (The worst is yet to come), and left them on German corpses and fortifications they raided.
