The 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion is one of the first equipped with the new M18 Hellcat tank destroyer. Its small profile and powerful gun make it a quick success. The M18 was purpose-built for the TD men, taking on-board feedback in the field, designed with a unique suspension system and stripped down to only the minimum armour needed to stop rifle fire
