The BM-13 Katyusha rocket launcher was first used in combat in 1941 at Orsha. The effect was astonishing ' an entire railway station and all German troops that were there were wiped out. Since then, Katuyshas took part in all major Soviet operations. They were rightfully feared by German troops.
