Of the 343 Wiesel Armoured Weapons Carriers produced, 133 were built with a one-man turret equipped with a Rheinmetall Mk 20 Rh-202 20mm autocannon. In this configuration, the Wiesel can be deployed as both a highly maneuverable reconnaissance and fire support vehicle. This dual purpose weapon can target both ground units to a range of 2.5km or slow moving air units at ranges exceeding 1.5km. Capable of unleashing between 880 and 1030 rounds per minute, the gun affords the Wiesel with an impressive amount of firepower for such a small vehicle.
