Renault R-35 Tank Platoon

Most Battalions de Chars de Combat (BCC) were equipped with Renault R35 tanks. The Renault R35 tank is well-armoured for a light tank, but like most other French light tanks it is armed with the Great War vintage 37mm SA-18 gun.

The Renault R35 tank's two-man crew is protected by up to 43mm of armour. However, the one-man turret means the commander is responsible for locating potential targets, traversing the turret, loading and laying the gun as well as providing directions for the driver.
